Ch Palaway Mon Bijou
Mon Bijou combines Hanafor, Hubertus, Tanashka and Kimlise bloodlines. Her mother is Metropolis’ sister, and her sire is Ch Pitswarren Picasso (Imp UK). Mon Bijou gained her title aged 18 months, and although only lightly shown, she has won Best of Breed and classes at both Specialty and All Breed shows, including the Sydney Royal. She is a lighter style of bitch with good bone, standing 56cm at the wither. More significantly, she is the mother of the Metropolis Avant and the Metropolis Choisir litters.
Mon Bijou’s conformation matured after the Avant litter, and in 2014 she had her biggest show win to date, winning Australian Bred in Group at the Tuggerah Lakes Championship Show in January 2014 just before her 4th birthday, under Mr K Iggleden (Qld).
Mon Bijou is an excellent companion, with a soft sweet nature and a sense of independence. She has strong hunting instincts, and to date her greatest retrieve has been a live young lorikeet (released unharmed after being caught on a fire trail). She also evidences the strongest vizsla drive for being on high places, and is as happy standing on scaffold ladders as sunbaking on the roof of her kennel.
